Forge World Leman Russ - Front ViewGames Workshop Forge World Leman Russ, Primarch of the Space Wolves, resin model with double base in 28mm scale (but he’s quite a bit larger than 28mm since he’s a Primarch—essentially a demigod). Russ is a Warhammer 30K model, which is why the Thousand Sons iconography on the base is red rather than blue.

Forge World Leman Russ - Cape DetailLeman Russ, cape detail. The cape was the first thing I painted, and it was a lot of fun with all the details. I wanted a pale cape but not pure white, which I thought might be too distracting.
Confrontation Wolfen, Older Work - Left SideThis is Varghar from Rackham’s Confrontation range, painted a long time ago, want to say 2012? Still one of my favorite Wolfen models; I really liked the whole range and own almost all of them in original metal. All of the Wolfen are around 54mm, though Confrontation’s original scale was, as I recall, 32-35mm on average. With the base pictured here he’s around 70mm.

Dark Sword Male Warrior, back viewBack view. Given the African skin tone, I really wanted to go with a lion motif. :) This is one of the rare 28mm that I’ve been really happy with in the last several years; usually my favs are the bigger models.
Mr. GrumpyThis bust was sculpted by Kirill Kanaev and was the students’ project during the two-day seminar he taught at Reaper in 2019. Mr. Grumpy is not generally considered one of my best works by others, but I disagree, mostly because he’s a landmark model for me (the true metallics breastplate earned me an “Excellent!” from Kirill, which I treasure). Sadly, the metallics make it hard to get a great photo of him!
Sacrifice - Front ViewSacrifice is a bust from Dark Sun. Though many people dislike the nudity, I felt that I managed to de-emphasize it and focus on the things that I really loved about the model, such as her expression, the cloth, and the dagger. That Damascus blade drove me absolutely nuts, by the way. I thought I could do it in NMM, but it was much better in true metallics.
Sacrifice - Back ViewBack view of the model. She really is connected to the base by only that one tiny point on her cape! This model was finished for the 2019 Crystal Brush (the last one they did). We didn’t win, but we made the final cut for photos put up for voting, which was my goal at the time.
